One of the most fundamental roles of government is to protect our personal property rights.  There are two critical issues that need to be addressed by our state government:  forced annexation and eminent domain abuse.  As long as the General Assembly is controlled by the Democrats, this reform will not happen.  A sure way to kill reform legislation is for the Democrat leadership to keep it in committee which prevents a vote which can be used against them during election time.  The latest attempt at reform happened this week, with our state representative, Jimmy Love, voting the party line to send HB524 and HB1268 back to committee.  Click on the link to the Republican Press Release to learn the details.
