Republican Party of Lee County

Jay Calendine, Sgt with the U. S. Army Reserves, arrived back home from Afghanistan on May 15.  In March of this year, Jay was awarded the Purple Heart in Afghanistan after being wounded when his vehicle hit a bomb.

Jay was very active with the Lee County Young Republicans during the 2008 election year.  He has been deployed in the Middle East for the past year.  We salute all of our brave military men and women who continue to fight for our freedoms and safety and pray for their safe return home.
