COMMITTEES
NEED CONTENT
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
Responsible for updating design/format and monitoring communications policies, as
well as recommending new ways for the REC to communicate with its members and
other interested parties through alternative media.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
Responsible for Membership files and updates. Identifying the needs of members and recommending the development of services to meet those needs. Increasing Membership. Develop and work with Volunteer Director/Secretary on training materials for new members and volunteers.
FINANCE COMMITTEE
Provides financial analysis, advice, and oversight of the REC’s budget. Responsibility is to ensure the organization is operating with the financial resources it needs to provide programs and services.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE
To develop and coordinate marketing and outreach activities which promote the REC and Republican party and candidates. To strengthen collaborative partnerships within our community. Assists the Chairman in planning and organizing special events and
fund-raising activities.
LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Responsible for oversight and executing strategies including key message development and dissemination, educating their respective constituencies, and preparing and submitting correspondence to Congressional, State and local offices. Special emphasis on Election Integrity, Border Security, Second Amendment, and Public Education.
ELECTION INTEGRITY COMMITTEE
Oversees and monitors the Lee County Supervisor of Elections (SoE) Office. Works on signature matching/verifying, clean voter rolls, attends Logic & Awareness tests and any certifications that the political parties are authorized participants. Educate the Lee County voters on latest news and updates coming from out SoE.
PUBLIC EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Oversees and monitors the School District of Lee County and all higher education located in Lee County. Works with the SDLC to start a Republican Club in every High School in Lee County.
RESOLUTIONS COMMITTEE
Reviews resolutions at the request of those proposing a resolution and/or the Executive Board to aid in clarity, understandability, use of plain language, content, and subject matter.
VETERANS COMMITTEE
Promotes and supports Lee County Veterans when and wherever possible. Looks into starting an annual scholarship program for a local Lee County HS student who are going into one of the branches of the Armed Forces.
WELCOMING COMMITTEE
Welcomes any guests and members who recently joined the Lee GOP and educate them on what the Lee GOP has to offer, including our committees, clubs, headquarters, website, volunteer opportunities and more.
2A COMMITTEE
Supports and promotes 2nd Amendment & Gun Safety. Monitors 2A legislation at the local, State & Federal level for infringements on our God given rights. Promotes a Gun Giveaway or other types of Fundraising efforts for Lee GOP. Engages in weapons training opportunities, and more.
