DESCRIPTION:The Faith & Freedom in Action Club will be hosting the 8 part series entitle Biblical Citizenship in Modern America presented by Turning Point Faith.  This is an 8 part video series with workbooks and discussion. \nThere is no cost for the course or the materials. This first session begins on December 7 and will take place for eight session on the first Thursday of each month at the Lee GOP offices. \nOn our first night we will have an introduction presented to us by Chip Moore of Turning Point Faith. As a special treat he will also have some  pizza for us. \nDoors open at 6PM and we will start at 6:30PM \nPlease feel free to come by even if you have not yet signed up to attend. DESCRIPTION:Come join us to learn about the Convention of the States\n  \nArticle V of the US Constitution outlines two methods by which the Constitution may be amended. Thus far\, amendments have only been pursued using one of these approaches\, namely through Congressional action. This discussion will address the other approach\, which is a Convention of the States. Come with an open mind and questions. The goal is to edify and allow for an open and honest discussion about the pros and cons of this process for changing the Constitution. \nWe highly recommend you do a little research on the topic in advance. Please bring your Constitutions or pick up a free copy at the Lee GOP offices if you don’t have one. \nAlways start with the source documents: U.S Constitution Article V.  \nYou might also want to consider reading Hamilton’s writings in Federalist Papers 85\, Mark Levin’s commentaries\, and KrisAnne Hall’s position on this subject as starting points in your preparation for this presentation. \nPlease feel free to share this event with other. Feel free to bring a snack or some drinks to share. Also\, if you would kindly help with clean up after the event it would be greatly appreciated.
