Important Message from RPOF Chairman Power

Committee Members-

As we all process the great news that peace has been reached between Israel and Iran, I wanted to share some of our own breaking news.

As you know at the first quarterly meeting of my chairmanship the executive committee tasked me with taking action to protect our brand with groups who were not meeting their obligations under rule 1 of our rules of procedure. We have had tremendous successes with our partnerships with the Young Republicans and Women’s Federated groups and we should have the same relationship with other “Republican” entities.

After many warnings and attempts to offer a statewide charter, we took action on some limited cases. Sadly, instead uniting with the republican party they choose lawfare against the best party in the nation.

Today we won in court against their lawfare. The Judge granted summary judgement to the Republican Party of Florida. I hope this brings an end to the unjustified lawfare against our party and any distraction it provides from our mission.

As a reminder under our County Constitution the objectives of the party are laid out plainly:

(a) Election to office of qualified Republican persons;

(b) Foster loyalty to the Republican Party;

(c) Promote an informed electorate through political education;

(d) Increase Republican Registration;

(e) Seek qualified Republicans to become candidates for local, county, state and

federal offices;

(f) Promote the election of all Republican candidates in the General Election;

(g) In general to uphold the principles of freedom, equality and justice on which the

Republican Party and the government of this nation is founded, as set forth in the Constitution of the United States and the state of Florida.

It seems clear there are some groups and persons that no longer want to foster loyalty to the Republican Party.  It is not my job to question why they would want to try and destroy the best and most successful party in the nation.  However, we will not allow those groups to use our brand and structure to do harm.  What we can do is make sure we stay focused on the goals and Outwork, Outregister, and Outraise the Democrats to win elections.

In the spirit of peace our President has presented today, I will once again offer any group that wants to use the Republican name a chance to charter under Rule 1 and will present any charters submitted to the board in an expedited fashion.

Let’s continue to unify so that we can be an even more unstoppable force in 2026!

Evan Power
